A firewall that needs no root — block internet access per app, with logging and conditional rules.
No-root firewall using the on-device VPN service. Needs 'VPN' permission for local filtering — traffic is not forwarded to any server.
NetGuard gives you a per-application firewall on stock Android without rooting. Each app can be allowed or denied Wi-Fi and mobile data independently, in both directions, so games can be silenced offline while your chat keeps working. Advanced mode adds per-address rules, conditional blocking (when screen is on, when roaming), and detailed traffic logging. The pro build adds blocklist-based content filtering and a notification widget for quick toggling. Like all firewalls on Android it uses the local VPN service to filter traffic — the 'VPN' connection is entirely on-device; no data is forwarded anywhere. Open source, no ads, no tracking.
